Last minute Halloween costumes ideas

Halloween is just around the corner, and while some of us begin costume planning well in advance and would prefer that it be recognized as a national holiday so that everyone can get the day off (do it for the children), some of us may not have given it too much thought until now, or have waited until the last minute before realizing they should probably think of a costume to go with the plans they committed to.

In case you fall into the latter category and are not sure what to be for Halloween, no worries, you can thank Presibot later for these easy, DIY costume ideas that will make for some great times and photo-ops. Do it for the gram.

  1. Pennywise, the IT clown

If you’re really going for spooky this year, the infamous clown from the movie adaptation of Stephen King’s classic story is an easy way to be scary and festive this Halloween.

What you need:

How to achieve the look:

  • Place the cotton on the top of the head underneath the bald cap to create a bulging head look.
  • Use an orange wig and cut it to your desired length if you need to to make it look sharp and basically psychotic like Pennywise’s
  • For the face, start with a white paint base. Once it dries, apply red paint where you need to (refer to a photo of Pennywise)
  • Line the eyes with black eyeliner, eyeshadow, or paint.
  • Add the ruffled neck collar and carry around a red balloon for the full effect.

  1. Bad and Boujee, a pair/couples costume

Indeed, it’s the infamous song by Migos and Lil Uzi and a play on Michael Jackson’s Bad music video. This costume is creative and so pop culture you’ll likely get high fives for it.

What you need:

How to achieve the look:

  • Bad can wear a white shirt with a black leather jacket or the actual MJ jacket paired with black pants. Wear gloves and add a belt for added flair
  • Boujee can wear a dress of choice with the blingy choker and faux fur. Feel free to add more bling or a purse and some heels if you really want to commit to the character.

  1. A Unicorn

Everything holographic and unicorn-themed seems to be a big hit this year. This is an easy way to have a fun costume without having to try too hard.

What you need:

How to achieve the look:

  • You probably don’t need instructions for this one, but you’ll have to put the headband on.
  • Wear white or anything that looks ethereal and majestic.
  • Use glitter/face gems on the high points of your face (cheekbones, under the arch of the eyebrow or just above) and for an extra oomph, add a pink or purple eyeshadow on the same high points of your face before the glitter/face gems.
